Pixelmine is real and working today — and still early. This is the direction of travel: what is live now, what we are building, and what we are exploring next. It is a direction, not a contract, and it will change as the network grows and as the people who use it tell us what matters.
A snapshot of where things stand, honestly grouped by how far along they are.
A few directions matter more than the rest — the work that decides how far the network can go.
Today every node keeps a full copy of the public data. Interest-scoped replication lets a node hold what its own people actually need, so the network can grow without every node growing with it.
Live works for small rooms today. We are building a broadcast path that holds up for large audiences without draining a single phone’s connection.
Extending forward secrecy to one-to-one conversations, so even a future key compromise cannot reach back into past messages.
More platforms, smoother onboarding, and tools that make running a node — and building a community around it — effortless.
We would rather show you the real direction than a polished fiction. Priorities will shift as the network grows and as its members tell us what matters — and this page will change with them.
